Getting Started

The very 1 st step in designing a personal nutrition plan for yourself is to first find out how many calories you need in a day . This will give you a starting reference point from which you begin your proper diet plan.

To calculate how many calories your body needs daily, you have to determine what’s your BMR (basal metabolic rate) first. BMR is the amount of energy your body needs everyday to perform its most basic function.

Once you know your daily caloric intake, the next step is to adjust your calorie intake based on your primary goal (i.e. either to lose or to gain weight).
